• Identifying opportunities to enhance client workflows and reporting by recommending and implementing technological solutions that address pre-existing inefficiencies

• Generate and analyze financial statements

This role involves preparing federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses, including S-Corporations, C-Corporations, and Partnerships. You’ll analyze financial records, review prior-year filings, and ensure accuracy and compliance across all submissions, including Maryland Personal Property Tax Returns.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare federal and state tax returns for businesses, including S-Corporations, C-Corporations, and Partnerships

• Prepare individual tax returns, including multi-state filings, returns with multiple schedules, and returns involving multiple K-1s
• Review client-provided documents, prior-year tax returns, and financial statements to ensure accurate reporting
• Effectively communicate tax outcomes to clients, including explanations of calculations and contributing factors in their tax returns
• Prepare and file Maryland Personal Property Tax Returns using the MD Online Filing System
• Stay current with tax laws and regulations, particularly those affecting Maryland and surrounding states
• Ensure clients remain in compliance with relevant tax laws and reporting requirements
